The services are functioning normally and guaranteeing the security of Poles and Poles, said Stanisław Żaryn, Deputy Minister of the Coordinator of Special Services. He referred to the information from Marek Biernacki (Trzecia Droga) that the services were liquidating their documents after the elections.
Someone is spreading lies, trying to inflame public opinion and spread insinuations against the services. The services are functioning normally and guaranteeing the safety of Poland and Poles. Nothing stated in this text is true
– said Żaryn in a post on X.
The entry was accompanied by an excerpt of the RMF journalist’s conversation with Biernacki, who said: “On October 16, the services – especially the army – decided to liquidate the so-called documents. unarchived. In fact, everything can be liquidated.”
Biernacki – former minister-coordinator of the secret services – referred to unofficial information that had reached him. As he stated in an interview with RMF, destruction decisions concern documents currently in circulation.
We must not forget that we are in a very difficult international situation. There is a war in Ukraine, our services must act effectively, so all these steps must be very careful and restrained. The materials and documents that the service chiefs wanted to hide must also be recovered
– Biernacki said on RMF.
According to the MP, given eight years of rule by the United Right, the new parliamentary majority should investigate this matter.
According to the findings of RMF FM reporter Krzysztof Zasada, committees were set up within the Military Intelligence and Counterintelligence Services with the task of querying documents. They decide which files are archived and which are shredded. One of the former officials of these services told our journalist that such work is usually carried out around January and February. This time the decision would be made shortly after the elections
— the station reported in an excerpt attached to Żaryna’s entry.
RMF noted in its materials that the Ministry of National Defense denied these reports. The station also quotes Żaryn, who argued to an RMF journalist that “no agency destroys documents.”
He also stated that neither the military nor the civilian services had established committees to review or destroy current documentation.
