Speaking to Anadolu later, Çavuşoğlu said that the Turkish Communications Agency had prepared “good ground” for the name change.

The publication also noted that the old name of the country was incompatible and, when translated from English, means “turkey”. For this reason, there may be difficulties when reading the phrase “Made in Turkey” written on Turkish made products.

The name Turkey must now be used in all international forums and official documents in which Turkey is mentioned.

“In this context, the phrase “Made in Turkey” will be used instead of “Made in Turkey” in our export products, and our products, which are the pride of our country in international trade, will now be represented with the phrase “Made in Turkey”. “Everywhere in Turkey,” he said.

The President added that the new name will be used in other fields, for example, in correspondence with other states and international institutions.
