According to the news, citing a source familiar with the situation, Grigory Yavlinsky, the founder of the Yabloko party, left Russia.
“Last night, the politician flew to London on a transfer via Dubai,” the source said, without disclosing details of the incident.
in the comments “socialbites.ca” Maxim Kruglov, head of the Yabloko faction in the Moscow City Duma, said that Yavlinsky could fly away for personal business, and this is absolutely not connected with immigration. According to him, the politician “will be back in a week or two.”
A few days ago, Yavlinsky denounced Anatoly Chubais, the former head of Rosnano, who left Russia at the end of March.
According to the head of Yabloko, Chubais established the current political system of the country. “For me, this is the crime. That’s exactly how he did everything – that’s how he carried out the reforms, that’s how he did the privatization,” Arguments and Facts quotes Yavlinsky.
According to the media, Chubais and its entourage are being tested for “acts of corruption”. On the eve of June 1, law enforcement officials interviewed witnesses, a source from the power structures of the Russian Federation told TASS.
“Various units of Russia’s law enforcement are interviewing possible witnesses and examining the documents received before the check for signs of a crime,” he told the agency.
At the same time, details were not disclosed “for the benefit of the investigation”.
Three days ago, TASS reported that Russian security officials checked information on the secret accounts of Chubais, who left Russia, with European banks.
“The amount of foreign currency on them could reach several billion,” the agency’s source said at the time. According to the publication’s addressee, Anatoly Chubais “may have obtained these “impressive amounts” illegally.”
According to media reports, the politician is currently in Italy and does not plan to return to testify in case his property was stolen for 70 million rubles. The former head of Rosnano allegedly flew to Europe via Turkey on a private plane shortly after the start of special operations in Ukraine.
But in early May, a representative of Chubais denied this information: “Anatoly Chubais has not visited Italy in recent months, he does not have a private plane or foreign real estate in any country in the world and has never been. Recently, Anatoly Borisovich visited Turkey and then Israel and discussed cooperation issues with several universities.”
On March 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Anatoly Chubais as Special Envoy for Relations with International Organizations for the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals. He remained co-chairman of the Renewable Energy Development Association, but left the board of directors of AFK Sistema and portfolio company Elektrozavod.
In mid-April, the current head of Rosnano, Sergei Kulikov, turned to law enforcement with a request to control the work of the state agency during the years of the Chubais presidency.
Kulikov said at one point there were signs of the company’s bankruptcy.
The Kremlin does not monitor the fate of Chubais. “If law enforcement officials have any questions, they should be contacted,” Putin’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters.
Earlier, he confirmed that the former head of Rosnano is abroad, but the Kremlin does not follow the movements of Chubais.
