Poles will choose between the security and prosperity proposed by the United Right Government, and the return of the inglorious times of the PO-PSL coalition government with record unemployment, sale of national assets, liquidation of subsequent Polish army units and a drastically increased retirement age. .
– says Minister Paweł Wdówik, Government Plenipotentiary for the Disabled, candidate for Law and Justice in the elections to the Sejm, district number 19 (Warsaw), place number 3, to the portal wPolityce.pl.
wPolityce.pl: Mr. Minister, the campaign is almost over. You actively participated in it. What was the most important? Which topics? What will the Poles choose between?
MINISTER PAWEŁ WDÓWIK, Government Plenipotentiary for Disabled Persons, candidate for Law and Justice in the elections to the Sejm, district number 19 (Warsaw), seat number 3: By campaign time, the opposition’s true intentions were on full display. Their motivations and actions are already clear to any observer on the political stage. During the election campaign, the opposition parties showed an exceptional lack of loyalty to their country. Wanting to gain the approval of the Brussels Eurocrats, they are willing to agree to the most damaging solutions for Poland, such as the forced relocation of immigrants to Poland.
Poles will choose between the security and prosperity proposed by the United Right Government and the return of the inglorious times of the PO-PSL coalition government with record unemployment, the sale of national assets, the liquidation of subsequent Polish army units and drastically increased retirement. age.
Do you think Poles will vote in the referendum? The opposition tried to ‘cancel’ them. Did it work?
I trust the collective prudence and wisdom of the Poles. I am confident that the referendum will clearly hear the voice of the whole country on issues important to this country. With the ongoing war in the east, hybrid attacks on the Belarusian-Polish border and the “holy war against infidels” announced by Muslim extremists – the referendum on security in Poland becomes even more important, and participation in it is a patriotic duty of everyone. conscious citizen.
Inevitably, your campaign included topics related to the issues faced by people with disabilities and their caregivers and families. What is the most important thing that has happened in recent years? What plans? Tasks?
The most important thing that has been achieved in recent years is the restoration of the dignity of people with disabilities and their families. It also means that we must focus on guaranteeing equal rights for this part of society, and it is an effective fight against barriers and social exclusion.
The Government of Law and Justice has increased existing support for people with disabilities and prepared new solutions and programs for them. A Solidarity Fund was established, allowing people with disabilities and their guardians to benefit from ministerial programs in the field of assistance and respite care, and from stays in care and residential centers.
Care and residential centers are being established all over Poland to assist adults with significant or moderate degrees of disability by offering them residential services during day or 24-hour stays.
We have also been able to launch many new PFRON programs. In particular, I would like to highlight the implementation of the “Independence – Activity – Mobility” package, for which an additional PLN 1 billion has been allocated for implementation in the years 2022-2024. The aim is to increase the independence of people with disabilities and facilitate their social or professional activities by providing access to means of transport under the car programme.
Our plans for the next term are to introduce systemic personal assistance and develop support and care services as close to home as possible. We will create a system of supported housing, including supported housing communities, by implementing legislative solutions that ensure accessibility for people with disabilities in local communities. We have ambitious tasks ahead of us, which, thanks to the voters’ decision, we will hopefully be able to achieve in the next parliamentary term.
thank you for the conversation
