In the coming years we will take even more care to ensure a dignified future for seniors; if we win the elections, we will develop our programs – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on TVP Info on Tuesday. In turn, the chairman of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek, emphasized at a meeting in Grodziec (Opole Voivodeship) that for the right, security is the most important thing; both internal and external security.
“We will develop our programs”
The Prime Minister was asked on TVP Info on Tuesday evening about the history of the 2 zloty coin, which he presented to PO leader Donald Tusk during the election debate on TVP on Monday.
The story is that after my speeches I always go and meet people and talk for an hour or sometimes two hours. And you know what the saddest thing about this story is? The fact that tomorrow I am going to a new meeting with the residents of Wielkopolska and I am convinced that if I said: +And now, ladies and gentlemen, raise your hands: who has the indexation (of pensions – PAP) PLN 1 .5, 2.4 PLN or 3 PLN? + And whoever would like to give these 3 zlotys or 2 zlotys to Tusk, I would unfortunately have my hands up
– said the Prime Minister.
He pointed out that this was not an isolated event.
It was not a phenomenon that occurred locally somewhere in Kraśnik or elsewhere. It was a common occurrence. And we have fundamentally changed this situation. That is why these election meetings are so important, because they create space to show what we can do in the coming years, and will ensure even more care for a dignified future for seniors in the coming years. If, of course, we win the elections, we will develop our programs
– emphasized the head of government.
The Prime Minister was also asked about the reality of Polish women and men during the PO-PSL government in terms of social policy.
Morawiecki pointed out that many Poles remember that during the PO-PSL government “there was only an apparent choice.” “There was a choice between working on junk contracts or going to London to become a dishwasher or eating asparagus in Berlin; for some seasonal allowances, or for many years,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
He noted that such trips were usually accompanied by tragedy and despair, because – as he said – “the children often stayed in Poland and father or mother went abroad.”
The choice between working for PLN 6.4 per hour or simply unemployment. And we know very well that when individual companies were sold, the only employer in a particular city or district often disappeared. That’s why our promise to all residents of these smaller towns is so important: if elected, we will repeat this major change in job creation in smaller towns.
– assured the head of government.
He added that he knows how to do it, “because after hundreds of discussions with investors, we managed to bring unemployment to the lowest level in the history of Poland, the modern history of Poland.”
So I can say that this special economic zone is working very well and will work in smaller towns and villages as well. And we want people to be able to live, work, study there and not just have to go abroad to Warsaw or to a big city in Poland.
– noted Mateusz Morawiecki.
“They want to let illegal immigrants in.”
The referendum is a celebration of democracy. It is an act that allows citizens to best express themselves on a particular subject. We only ask Poles to say what they think about the border barrier or illegal immigration, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on TVP Info on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister encouraged people to vote in the referendum and stressed its importance.
The referendum is a celebration of democracy. It is an act that allows citizens to best express themselves on a particular subject
– he pointed.
According to him, “the opposition must call itself anti-democratic if it encourages a boycott of the referendum.” He guessed that she wanted to hide her true intentions in this way.
If they didn’t want to hide them, they would vote for the referendum resolution and let in illegal immigrants.
– he said. He stated that the referendum question on illegal immigration is gaining importance due to the outbreak of war in Israel.
We only ask Poles to say what they think about the border barrier or illegal immigration
– he emphasized.
During the last European Council I often thought about the referendum and proposed to all prime ministers that they all organize a referendum at home.
– Morawiecki noted.
In addition, the President of France is considering whether to hold a referendum on illegal immigration in his country. This is a very welcome step
– He admitted.
The referendum will take place on Sunday, October 15 – at the same time as the parliamentary elections. The card will include four questions on the sale of state assets, raising the retirement age, removing the barrier on the Polish-Belarusian border and accepting illegal immigrants from the Middle East and Africa.
“Poles can really feel safe”
We will defend every inch of Polish land. Poles can really feel safe, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki assured during an interview with TVP Info.
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister was asked on TVP Info about the change in Poland’s security perspective after 2015.
Previously, the Polish defense doctrine was defense on the Vistula line. This meant that half of Poland was surrendered to Russia. I’ll be honest with the people who were there, it’s basically a betrayal
– he assessed. He added that the residents of western Poland would not be safe either, as Russian missile batteries would be placed on the Vistula line and threaten the security of the rest of Poland.
In times of law and justice this is unthinkable. We will defend every inch of Polish land. Poles can really feel safe
– assured the head of government.
“This is a referendum that is absolutely binding on every government.”
For the right, security is of the utmost importance; both internal and external security – said Sejm Chairman Elżbieta Witek at a meeting in Grodziec (Opole Voivodeship) on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Sejm Chairman Elżbieta Witek came to the village of Grodziec, where she met the PiS list candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections and the villagers.
She led the meeting in the form of a lesson, during which participants could answer questions from the moderator. Earlier, Witek recalled a situation from one of the press conferences, in which a representative of KO had difficulty listing the successes of his party when it governed Poland.
Unlike the KO politician, who could not name three achievements of his formation, we have at least 333 such achievements
– said the Marshal, encouraging the participants of the meeting to exchange them.
The main achievements of the PiS government included the residents of Grodziec: lowering the retirement age, lowering taxes, introducing programs for the family, strengthening the military and reducing unemployment. Marshal Witek said that all these programs will continue after the right-wing victory, and some of them will include additional elements.
Even in the smallest towns, fire stations are being built or renovated, and volunteer firefighters are being trained as paramedics. Our plan assumes that 2,013 ambulances will be transferred to the brigade within a few years. We want an ambulance to be present in every municipality, so that the journey to the person in need does not take longer than 15 minutes. They will be stationed in the units of the state fire brigade, also in selected volunteer fire brigades and in the fire brigades that are part of the National Rescue and Fire Fighting System.
– said Witek.
The Marshal of the Sejm asked all people who do not vote to exercise their right to express their opinions this Sunday when voting in the parliamentary elections and in the referendum vote.
These are the most important elections since 1989. Safety comes first. (…) Because if this war in Israel continues any longer, we will also receive refugees from there and they will also go to Europe.
According to Witek, the solution to the problems is to vote for the government “which has shown that the security of Poles is the most important thing for us, that we will not bow to the dictates of the West, and that we will not agree to illegal accept immigrants. We protect the EU’s external border and show others how to do it.
Go to the polls. We have proven that every family is important to us, we help everyone in Poland. Vote for candidates who have proven themselves. There are no random people on our lists. These are all people with extensive professional, political and social experience. Also vote in the referendum. This is a referendum that is absolutely binding on every government. Therefore, the nation as sovereign must decide that we do not want to raise the retirement age, that we do not want to destroy the barrier at the border, because it protects us. We don’t want illegal immigrants because we want women to be safe. (…) We do not want the sale and privatization of Polish state-owned companies because they help their citizens in a crisis situation
– said Witek.
