These elections are about whether we will focus on the future, on those who really want to solve the most important problems we face and – above all – whether we will be able to talk to each other again – said in Bielsko- Biała, the deputy head of PO, Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski.
Trzaskowski on “solving problems”
These choices are about whether we will focus on the best traditions of our history, whether we will focus on the future, or whether we will focus on those who really want to solve the most important problems we face. And above all, ladies and gentlemen, will we be able to regain this basic ability to talk to each other? Politicians probably won’t reconcile, but we can talk to each other
– Trzaskowski said on Saturday during a meeting with residents of Bielsko-Biała.
After all, in many families it is impossible to talk about politics because we are so divided. Enough of this, because if we want to build a common future, we must do it together. And this is possible, ladies and gentlemen, at least thanks to the European Union
– added the deputy head of PO.

The future according to the opposition
As he said: “in Warsaw during the Million Hearts March, but here too we see this sea of Polish flags, but we also see European flags.”
This is our future. Cieszyńska Street would not be renovated like this, there would be no oncology hospital, these beautiful tenement houses admired by all of Poland would not be renovated if there was no European money.
– noted Trzaskowski.
And – as he added – ‘I know everyone is a bit tired of talking about EU money, but can you imagine what would happen if we were in power and we didn’t negotiate this money? From morning to evening there would be criticism, there would be attacks.
And they think that this is something completely normal, that there is no problem at all
– said the president of the capital.
This is PLN 500 billion, which is currently blocked because they violate the constitution. Can you imagine that if all this money were invested in transport links, or in modern hospitals, or in modern schools, the whole of Poland would look completely different?
– Trzaskowski emphasized.
And – as he said – “this is the opportunity to completely change our country, in which everyone can participate, everyone can participate.”
And they’re trying to waste it just because they insist on politicizing the courts. And if anyone asks (why go to the elections – PAP), it is only so that we can still be in Europe, so that we can continue to take advantage of this huge opportunity to modernize our country.
– noted the Deputy Head of PO.
Debate “a test of the truth”
Trzaskowski also referred to the election debate taking place on TVP on Monday.
On Monday we have one big truth test. Because suddenly it will turn out that a large part of society, which has been fed this terrible propaganda and lies, will see Donald Tusk and it will turn out that he does not breathe fire, that he speaks excellent Polish, that he is a person who has recipes for the future, that he is someone who knows exactly what problems the Poles are facing. I think it will be quite a shock
– emphasized the mayor of Warsaw.
Of course – he added – “the other side is terrified right now because for the first time there is a chance for a normal, normal debate and a normal, normal conversation.”
They will do everything they can to shout it out, to manipulate it, but they certainly won’t succeed.
– said Trzaskowski.
He added that “whoever came face to face with Donald Tusk decided to run away.”
But I understand him because he is so detached from reality that all of Poland would suddenly see that this man does not even know in which country he lives.
– Trzaskowski emphasized.
Let’s not forget that Alvin Gajadhur, the Law and Justice candidate for the Senate, pointed out that Trzaskowski, as mayor of Warsaw, cannot deal with the capital’s traffic jams. Gajadhur, Chief Inspector of Road Transport, encouraged President Rafał Trzaskowski to take lessons on planning investments in the European capital Warsaw. Sebastian Kaleta, former city councilor and deputy justice minister, also spoke about the problem Trzaskowski’s regime poses for Warsaw. The PiS candidate for the Sejm emphasized that Trzaskowski had not fulfilled his election promises.
