US President Joe Biden called on Iranian authorities to release Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. This was reported by TASS.

“I call on the Iranian government to immediately release her and her allies fighting for gender equality,” Biden said.

He added that the United States will continue to support Iranians in their fight for freedom of expression, gender equality and an end to violence against women. According to Washington, the republic’s authorities are responsible for human rights violations in Iran.
