PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński has been talking mainly about PO leader Donald Tusk for months, but runs away when he gets the chance to confront him in a debate; it is the fear of losing, PO spokesman Jan Grabiec said on Friday. The head of PO himself also commented on the issue. He shared a photo with… a dog.
Telewizja Polska is organizing the ‘Election Debate 2023’ on Monday, October 9. The event will be broadcast on TVP1, TVP Info and TVP Polonia – the TVP Information Center has informed PAP.
The head of PO, Donald Tusk, announced his participation in the debate. PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński announced that he would not participate in the debate as he already had a meeting planned in Przysucha. On Friday, the head of government posted a message on social media.
I can not wait! See you on Polish television! #TuskMeansBeda

Tusk’s entry
Tusk himself also added his two cents by sharing a photo with… a dog.
Hermes just told me that ducks run away from him too…
– we read in his entry.
PO spokesperson Jan Grabiec, who was asked about these issues by journalists in the Sejm, pointed out that PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński has been talking mainly about Donald Tusk for months, but runs away when given the chance to confront him in a debate. According to the PO spokesperson, “it’s about cowardice and fear of losing.”
“Jarosław Kaczyński knows that in a clash with Donald Tusk he will look weak and just run away,” he noted. “What kind of leader of a state, what kind of prime minister is he in terms of security, if he is afraid to debate with his main political opponent, about whom he constantly talks?” – asked Grabiec.
“80 percent According to all surveys, Poles want this debate. Both PiS voters and voters of KO, Third Way and Left want debates from the most important politicians in the state, because people simply deserve it,” emphasizes MP Cezary Tomczyk.
On Friday, PSL President Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that the Third Way will be represented in the debate by the leader of Poland 2050, Szymon Hołownia. The Confederation of Freedom and Independence also declared its participation in the debate. The head of the election staff, Witold Tumanowicz, told PAP that MP Krzysztof Bosak would represent them. “The non-partisan local government electoral committee will be represented by Krzysztof Maj,” media coordinator Bohdan Stawiski told PAP. New Left is represented by MP Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus, Links announced on Twitter.
Six electoral commissions were invited to participate in the program and registered lists in all constituencies. The information sent to PAP stated that the invitation had been received by: the Impartial Local Government Electoral Committee, the Electoral Committee of the Third Way Coalition: Poland 2050 of Szymon Hołownia and PSL, the Electoral Committee of Nowa Lewica, the Electoral Committee for Law and Justice , the Confederation of Freedom and Independence and the Coalition Electoral Committee of the Citizens’ Coalition PO.N iPL Zieloni.
