Even by the very low standards of the European Parliament, the latest speech by the head of the European People’s Party (EPP), Manfred Weber, was utterly bizarre, not to mention so stupid as to be downright grotesque. The debate in Strasbourg concerned the so-called Immigration Pact, an important part of which is the introduction of forced resettlement of immigrants in the Union. It is the EPP that is the main spokesperson for this nefarious idea, which is reminiscent of the worst practices of the German Third Reich and the Soviet Union. German Weber praised forced resettlement, and one of the biggest arguments was that there was a housing shortage in Germany, Austria and Italy.
Many mayors in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and Italy tell us that there are no more apartments available
Polish MEPs representing the United Right drew attention to this bizarre aspect of Weber’s speech.

According to the German, the EU does not have an immigration problem, only a housing problem. There is no massive increase in crime, there are no whole areas of no-go zones in Sweden or France, i.e. whole districts or towns where the state does not operate and the government is ruled by gangs or immigrant clans. There is no problem with the comfort of everyday life, where newcomers impose their culture and customs. There are also no major costs involved in maintaining the new millions who enjoy the generous benefits of the so-called welfare states. (I write “supposedly” because soon they will provide their citizens with not only maternal care, but also a basic sense of security).
If the problem is that there are not enough apartments to house immigrants, then we are dealing with a housing crisis, not an invasion/invasion of a foreign culture. If so, the solution is to build more apartments and the problem will disappear. Let Germany build more blocks for immigrants. We have our own problems with housing.
The way Weber spoke about the immigration and housing crisis was reminiscent of the State of the Union speech by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. According to the German, the Community’s biggest problems are the too cheap Chinese electric cars and solar panels and the too slow issuance of permits for wind turbines. The German woman decided that these topics were the most important for Europeans, because she placed them at the top of her speech. We wrote about it in more detail in the weekly magazine “Sieci”.

In Weber’s speech, as in Von der Leyen’s, there was another particularly grotesque thread. This concerns the agreement concluded with Tunisia, one of the pillars of which was that the EU would pay Tunis for the fight against human smugglers and stopping illegal immigrants. So that they don’t leave the beaches to conquer Europe. When Ursula von der Leyen gave her speech on September 13 and boasted about the agreement with Tunis, a fleet of boats with thousands of immigrants set off for Lampedusa. A day later, the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a European Parliament delegation would not be allowed into the country. This was the case in mid-September and on Monday, October 2, Tunisian President Kais Saied finally announced that there had been and would not be an agreement with the EU.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, during the debate on the so-called After the Immigration Pact, the head of the EPP, Weber, takes the stage and praises the Union, or rather the Eurocracy, for concluding the agreement with Tunis.
We cannot allow smugglers (people – editor’s note) to decide who comes to us. Frontex and national agencies are doing very important work… Our job is to find solutions. And the agreement on asylum (migration pact) and the agreement with Tunisia are right. Such solutions are only possible in cooperation with third countries. Thanks to Ursula von der Leyen from the European Commission, thanks to Italy, thanks to the Netherlands
This so-called agreement with Tunisia was signed by the head of the European Commission von der Leyen, the Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.
And Weber continues:
I am happy with this agreement. President Macron and Chancellor Scholz also expressed their support for the agreement. We must form a partnership with Tunisia to face this difficult time. This is a model agreement with North African countries.
What is this man talking about? Which agreement? This supposed agreement with Tunisia was already being questioned by parts of the Commission and the European Parliament in mid-August. The money did not flow to Tunisia, so boats carrying thousands of immigrants left the local beaches. Two days before this grotesque speech by the German Weber, the President of Tunisia finally rejected this agreement. and announced to the Tunisian TAP Agency:
In the eyes of our people, the treasures of the world are not equal to one grain of our sovereignty.” Tunisia is a country that accepts cooperation, but nothing resembling handouts.
Which of these words in the sentence did the German Weber not understand? There is no agreement and no model agreement with North African countries. What would this pattern look like? To such an extent that the EU pays every African or Middle Eastern country to guard its borders, to prevent smugglers from becoming active, and ultimately not to organize the transfer of immigrants themselves. Let’s imagine that we become a hostage of Belarus. That instead of guarding our border, we pay the Lukashenko regime not to send us illegal immigrants.
The EU already has such an agreement with Turkey and is still dependent on Erdogan. If he doesn’t like something, he sends thousands of immigrants from Iraq, Syria and other countries to Turkey. It works the same way in the case of Morocco and Spain
Or perhaps Weber did not know that the agreement had been finally broken two days earlier and that the EU had allowed itself to be humiliated again? So what is such an ignorant person doing in the position of the European party that governs the EU? Or maybe he knows that there are secret agreements with Tunisia, or the agreement will be re-signed after some time.
Or maybe he’s just lying. Reality doesn’t interest him at all. We know such politicians. He simply knows that the average EU citizen does not know whether there are similarities with Tunisia or not, so he spreads propaganda lies. He also says this to the eurocracy that sits in the European Parliament, and these are generally extremely incompetent people. After all, Biedroń and Kohut don’t understand anything.
Weber is one of those politicians in the Western world (including Poland) who doesn’t mind the truth at all. Now there is post-politics, that is to say, politics not as the Aristotelian art of acting for the benefit of the community, but politics as it was primitively conceived by Manfred Weber’s namesake, the German sociologist Max Weber, who lived more than a hundred years earlier. He viewed politics as the art of acquiring and maintaining power. In this sense, lying to millions, as Manfred Weber did in the European Parallel, is just a method, a way of doing politics without moral evaluation, and not gross fraud.
If he weren’t dangerous, Manfred Weber could be considered a clown, like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Exactly such products of political marketing. However, times are such that people like those in power are very dangerous, because like never before they have at their disposal a propaganda machine, which allows them to spread the most murderous, despicable ideas with a smile, kind words and under the guise of caring for the general interest. The project of forced displacement is despicable. The murderers of yesteryear could not have had such a pleasant, tasteless appearance as Timmermans, nor could they have been as impersonal as Scholz.
Today the world, and especially the German European Union and its individual members, is ruled by spineless, spineless entities that subordinate all their actions to gaining and maintaining power. We are dealing with pure political pathology. The system, or rather the form of the Union, depends on entities like Manfred Weber.
Apparently Hans Klos in Stawka Wjakej Than Life, when addressing a German SS man, never said: Brunner, you pig. This is a popular invention – that of the public. The actual line apparently was: You’re such a scoundrel, Brunner. However, Kloss made sure to say: Such tricks are not for me, Brunner.
