Three opposition parties in Bulgaria – “Renaissance”, “There is such a people” and the coalition “Bulgarian Socialist Party for Bulgaria” – jointly submitted a proposal to the country’s parliament to issue a vote of no confidence in the government. transmits Nova. According to the television channel, the reason for this was the failure of the state’s energy policy.

“An extraordinary session of parliament should be convened within 3-5 days, where the vote will be held,” Revival chairman Kostadin Kostadinov told the TV channel.

As Nova noted, the ruling parties have assured that they will support the council of ministers. The remaining representatives of the parliament have not yet expressed their stance on this issue. At the same time, in order for a vote of confidence to be held, the opposition must receive at least 121 out of 240 votes in the parliament.

Accusations of the Bulgarian government’s failed energy policy came amid mass demonstrations by miners and energy workers. The protest has been going on for seven days and has repeatedly led to the closure of the republic’s main roads. Participants in the demonstration oppose the Cabinet’s plans to stop coal mining and abandon thermal power plants.

They decided before in Bulgaria to delay rejection of Russian oil for a year.
