The Tunisian government has announced that it will finally reject EU proposals for economic aid and loans. The agreement signed in July was intended to encourage Tunisia to stop the flow of illegal immigrants from the coast to Lampedusa.
— Weber wants a migration pact, partly because in Germany “there are no more apartments available”! Jaki: “We have to stop this madness”
– On the verge of betrayal? The migration wave mainly has German roots
This is downright symbolic. One day before the planned debate in the European Parliament on the “visa scandal” and two days before the discussion on the so-called immigrant pact, the government of Tunisian President Kais Saied announces that it will not accept the deal offered by the EU: money in exchange for stopping immigrants. Tunis humiliated the Union and its rulers for the second time in less than three weeks. On September 13, as Ursula von der Leyen gave her State of the Union address and boasted about the agreement signed with Tunis in July, a flotilla carrying thousands of illegal immigrants left Tunisian beaches bound for Lampedusa.
At the same time, the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it would not allow a delegation from the European Parliament to enter the country, which wanted to monitor how Tunis implements the agreement and how it deals with human smugglers. Tunisia did not receive the money; the transfer was blocked due to factional fighting in the European Commission and European Parliament. Now the Tunisian government has finally announced that it does not want any “subsidies” from the EU – there will be no deal.

I do not know whether the President of Tunisia deliberately chose the date to announce the termination of the agreements – just before the EU debate on the immigration pact, but the method of action is repeated and it is impossible not to get the impression that the intention was also to humiliate the EU or its rulers. In mid-July, with much fanfare, in the presence of Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Tunisian President Kais Saied, an agreement/agreement on economic aid to Tunisia and monetary support was signed. in exchange for guarding the beaches – so that people smugglers did not organize the mass transfer of illegal immigrants to Europe. Previously, the head of the Tunisian government was accused of racism, among other things. by the UN when he announced it in February
hordes of illegal migrants arriving from sub-Saharan countries are part of a criminal plan to change Tunisia’s demographic composition and a source of violence, unacceptable crimes and customs
Was this the plan of the EU and the United States? Probably not, but they completely destabilized the situation in North Africa by supporting the Arab Spring uprising. The result is that after the overthrow of dictator Gaddafi, Libya practically ceased to exist, and in its place the largest slave market in the world was created, where a clan war has been going on for twelve years. The vacuum that arose after the collapse of a better or worse organized state ensured that millions of inhabitants of Sub-Saharan Africa saw a path to the coast and further to Europe. Thus ended the introduction of democracy in North Africa by the European Union and the United States.
Tunisia is in a dramatic economic situation and under great pressure from newcomers deep in Africa. The money in individual tranches would be used to improve the budget, build a low-cost energy transmission line to Europe and an undersea fiber optic cable. Part of the arrangements included Tunisia’s commitment to combat human smugglers and stem the outflow of immigrants. 100 million euros would be spent on the purchase of boats, patrol boats, radars, cars, drones, etc. – coast guard equipment. According to various estimates, Tunisia would receive a total of around $2 billion, either in the form of direct aid or loans.
On Monday it turned out that the agreement was worthless and the president announced that Tunisia had been humiliated by the EU for not adhering to the agreements and said in a statement:
In the eyes of our nation, the treasures of the world do not equal one grain of our sovereignty. Tunisia is a country that accepts cooperation, but nothing resembling handouts.
On the same Monday, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR, announced that according to updated data, the number of immigrants who crossed from Tunisia to Lampedusa in 2023 had reached 90,000. Whichever way you look at it, there are fewer arrivals from the African continent in Tunisia. President Saied announced that Tunisia will not act as a border guard for the European Union. He described as unacceptable Brussels’ demands that immigrants from Sub-Saharan Africa who have returned from the EU be allowed to settle in Tunisia.
There are many interpretations of what happened between the EU and Tunisia. It is said that the Eurocrats have humiliated Tunisia by rejecting the agreements, because in fact the aim is to overthrow the Monioni government using the immigration crisis. Another theory is that Russia is behind all this, having driven France out of its former colonies and is now dealing the cards in countries like Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso and others in West Africa where immigrants come from. Tunisia maintains good relations with the Putin regime and China. One thing is certain: the Union’s rulers have once again discredited themselves.
The European Commission, led by the extremely incompetent Von der Leyen, is leading the EU towards disaster, and the Member States have no tools to stop it, or at least replace these incompetent people with someone even slightly more efficient . There is no doubt that the current European Commission is the worst in the history of the Union in terms of content. They consist of people who do not have a democratic mandate, which is a political norm, and who have been discredited, such as the Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security, Joseph Borrell, who even ‘Politico’ considers the most inept diplomat in the world . the world. His actions in Moscow in 2021 – meekly agreeing to the Kremlin’s expulsion of EU diplomats and Lavrov’s lessons in credibility and democracy – were humiliating for the entire EU.
The deterioration is progressing and the EU commissioners are ignoring Turkey, and now even a small country like Tunisia. People like Borrell, von der Leyen and the Swedish communist Ylva Johhansson are creating an immigration pact, which means they want to decide what Europe will look like ethnically and culturally. How much evidence do we need to convince ourselves that the EU is “not working”, that it is one of the causes of the problems and not a way to solve them, that its system is completely dysfunctional?
Brussels cannot protect a small island of 20 km. square meters and in a few months 90,000 people from Africa will land on rubber or tin boats, and our infantile, simply stupid, but aggressive opposition has some fantasies that the EU will help us at the border with Belarus. On Monday, Tunis abrogated the agreement, so we can expect even bigger waves of invaders on Lampedusa and our continent.
After the elections, we must start unmasking the nonsense and debunking the myths about the EU’s power. Europe is becoming a laughing stock and every cow is damaging it. Poland is part of this system and will either change it or fall under the rotten ceilings of this structure.
