This is another example of how President Trzaskowski used his office to the advantage of his political formation. Now more money must be used to finance communications for the party’s march in Warsaw, Dariusz Figura, head of the PiS councilors’ club, told PAP.
On Sunday, October 1 at 12 noon, the Million Hearts March, organized by PO, starts from the Dmowski roundabout.
The Capital City Transport Authority has announced that between approximately 9am and 7pm, the subway and trams will run more frequently and additional vehicles will be deployed to service the line. On Sundays, almost 100 more buses and 60 trams than usual take to the streets.
Metro trains arrive at the stations as they do on weekdays during peak hours. The trams run according to the Saturday timetable. Additional Fast City Railway trains will operate on the routes
This information was commented on by the head of the club of Warsaw PiS councilors, Dariusz Figura.
He recalled that two mass campaigns are currently being conducted, for example against buses. “One of them is ‘We change Warsaw for you’ – that is, bragging about achievements that are not there, and the campaign ‘Who votes counts’ in a city where the turnout is one of the highest in Poland. ,” he said.
‘Money for the party march’
He stressed that more money should be spent on financing communications for the party’s march in Warsaw so far.
This raises a question. Have similar actions been taken to organize other festive events? And when it comes to the Independence March, there have never been such special activities regarding access to communications. And it was also a mass event
– Figure added.
The spokeswoman for the capital’s city hall, Monika Beuth, explained that if the organizers declare that one million people will participate in the march, the city has a duty to approach it responsibly.
Such an event has never happened in the capital, so we are talking about a big challenge and we are preparing for different scenarios. Safety issues are crucial, the police are responsible for the safety of the participants, but issues related to the communication and movement of so many people are very important
– she told PAP.
She added that on this day the city focuses on cooperation with the services, good coordination and the best possible public transport, knowing that many more travelers will use it.
