The government’s job is to create conditions so that people do not have to worry about whether they can raise a child. We are doing everything we can to improve the situation in Poland, and our actions will certainly have long-term effects, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Facebook on Thursday.
The Prime Minister started a new series of videos on Facebook entitled: Young Poles ask – the Prime Minister answers. In the first part of the series he answered, among other things: to the question about the demographic crisis in Poland due to the declining fertility rate.
Whether or not to have children will always be a decision between two adults. The task of the government is to create such conditions that they will not be afraid whether they can raise them, train them, while they work or study.
– Morawiecki noted.
He explained that this is why the government is “doing everything it can to ensure that Poles earn better, have access to childcare while they work or study” and “so that women do not have to worry about returning to the work after the birth of a child.”
To make it easier for young people to function in the labor market and in daily life, we therefore have tax cuts, an increase from 500+ to 800+, a childcare allowance, family care capital and a 2% loan. for the first apartment
– mentioned the Prime Minister. He admitted that it would take some time to see the effects of some actions. However, he noted that they would certainly have long-term effects.
He also called on “all media and opinion leaders to stop discrediting parenting and families with children.”
