Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said that the USA is putting pressure on American companies operating in Russia. This will be reported on: telegram channel Russian diplomatic mission.

The ambassador was stunned by recent statements by senior White House officials that US officials do not interfere with the activities of American companies in Russia. Antonov believes that with such statements Washington wants to absolve itself from responsibility for the thoughtless accumulation of all kinds of sanctions obstacles that led to the collapse of bilateral trade relations.

The diplomat noted that due to numerous restrictions in the financial and commercial spheres, it is often impossible to make the necessary payments for the supply of goods. This includes even food and medicine, which are allegedly unaffected by the restrictions, as rumored in Washington. Currently, traditional logistics routes for product delivery have been cut off.

Antonov emphasized that biased media and some non-governmental organizations enthusiastically participated in the open pressure on the business world. Using the publication of discredited materials, they are forcing American companies to leave Russia. Companies that do not bow to pressure are included in special lists of “malicious violators” of sanctions.

The ambassador noted that even under these conditions, US companies confirmed their interest in maintaining their presence in the Russian market. He said Moscow remains open to mutually beneficial commercial cooperation.

Earlier, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller statedThat they do not impose restrictions on businesses to restrict their activities in Russia.

Formerly US Treasury extended Sanctions against Russia.
