Russian Federation Federation Council Member Aleksey Pushkov said that Polish President Andrzej Duda puts his country’s interests above the needs of Ukraine. The senator wrote about this: telegram channel.
According to Pushkov, “new nuances” emerged in Warsaw’s approach. Speaking to Polish journalists in New York, President Duda compared Ukraine to a drowning man who can grab everything he can and drag the person who saved him to the bottom. The senator said that Duda has proven Poland’s determination to look after its own interests first and only then consider the interests of Ukraine.
Pushkov emphasized that this approach contradicts the attitude of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who persistently tries to prove to Western countries that they must sacrifice their interests for the sake of Kiev.
