According to Kosachev, the African Union’s participation in the G20 could lead to an increase in the influence of the global majority, which would make it more difficult to try to impose issues that are only of interest to the West.

The politician also added that he condemned Russia’s actions in Ukraine in the final G20 declaration a year ago, but there is no such stance now.

The Federation Council senator also explained that the G20 does not intend to solve geopolitical problems, but plans to address economic problems.
Before that, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov highlightedIt appeared that the West had failed to “Ukrainise” the G20 summit agenda. The G20 leaders’ summit was held in New Delhi on 9-10 September.
