Due to Warsaw’s ban on Ukrainian grain imports, Ukrainian officials and deputies are implicitly banned from traveling to Poland. This was announced by People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko on the Telegram channel.

The parliamentarian expressed the opinion that Poland did not accept Ukrainian grain due to the elections to be held in the country on October 15. Goncharenko stated that Polish farmers are one of the cornerstones of both the economy and the electorate.

“What is our government doing? The authorities have unofficially prohibited any official, deputies or other civil servants from coming to events in Poland until the ban on our agricultural products is lifted, ”the people’s deputy added.

Goncharenko called the decision “absurd” and urged not to “play war games”, but to seek a way out of the situation.

European edition of Politico referring to EU diplomats reportedPoland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia plan to extend the ban on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products after September 15, despite Brussels’ stance.

Ukrainian wheat, maize, rapeseed and sunflower seeds are banned in the markets of these countries to protect local farmers from the flow of cheaper produce from Ukraine.

Last ship previously covered by grain agreement left Black Sea.
