“There is a real chance [na reparacje]as long as Law and Justice prevail. We are taking this issue by the horns and will not give up. Minister Mularczyk is doing what he can, the Foreign Office is doing what he can, will Tusk do the same? I do not doubt it. Tusk is especially friendly with German politicians, and he will (…) act mainly in their interests,” said Kacper Płażyński, PiS MP and leader of the party’s Gdańsk list in “Morning Conversation” with editor Maciej Wolny on television wPolsce .pl.
“We work even longer and go to the field more often”
Television journalist wPolsce.pl Maciej Wolny asked his interlocutor, among other things: about what the campaign in his constituency looks like and what MP Kacper Płażyński wants to focus on.
I will continue the hard work I have been doing for 4 years. I travel through the constituency, but I have the impression that my parliamentary office is also a small office of the Commissioner for Human Rights, because people come with very different problems. We try to help everyone, but unfortunately that is not always possible. We do the same, but work even longer and go into the field more often
– stressed the PiS MP.
As the host of “Morning Rozmowa” reminded, from constituency No. 25 (Gdańsk), in addition to Płażyński, who opens the list, the following members will be present, among others: Member of Parliament Kazimierz Smoliński, Deputy Minister of Culture and National Heritage Jarosław Sellin , PiS Plenipotentiary in Gdańsk Tomasz Rakowski, PiS MP Tadeusz Cymański and former MP and multiple candidate for mayor of Gdańsk, Andrzej Jaworski. Karol Rabenda, Secretary of State in the Ministry of State Assets, will run from last place. Will these names bring the PiS victory?
This is a strong list. There are a few names that have worked really hard over the past four years and are well known MPs, but there are also a lot of local government officials, and this is the middle of the list, who may not be widely known, but are locally recognisable. I think it’s a very good combination. I’m in a good mood. It is a great pleasure for me to be able to open such a list
– said the interlocutor of wPolsce.pl.
Maciej Wolny asked if the place where the Gdańsk list was published is also in line with the campaign and especially with the values presented by the United Right.
It seemed that the figure of John Paul II and what he has done for Poland and for the world is so indisputable for many years that you don’t need to come up so strongly in his defense, but lately we have seen several unjust attacks, those were attacks, for example, people from the security service of the People’s Republic of Poland, who were treated as some kind of revealed truth. Some of these artist journalists had to apologize for these articles. It seemed that in such obvious matters it is not necessary to fight for the good name of John Paul II, it turns out that it is necessary. That is why such a place shows where we stand, and where perhaps the representatives of the opposition stand
– replied Kacper Plazynski.
When asked about the IBRiS poll for “Rzeczpospoliteh”, which shows that Poles are strongly divided against the idea of a referendum, and that there are more opponents than supporters, he replied:
I think the referendum does not divide Poles, it is just a story of opposition representatives trying to convince Poles that these are some idiotic, silly questions, that this is a political action.
These are questions related to the fundamental issues of our future, our security. I understand that for Tusk, who wanted to bring to Poland, among the so-called forced relocations, illegal migrants, this is a sad thing because it contradicts reality and is a revision of the governments of Mr Donald Tusk and Mrs Ewa Kopacz . It’s just inconvenient for them, so they prefer to present in general terms that it’s stupid and idiotic. These were stupid decisions by Donald Tusk, for example raising the retirement age. It was stupid and, above all, harmful to Polish society
said Plazynski.
The host also asked what the chances are of reparations from Germany for the damage Poland suffered during World War II.
There is a real opportunity as long as Law and Justice prevail. We are taking this issue by the horns and will not give up. Minister Mularczyk is doing what he can, the Foreign Office is doing what he can, will Tusk do the same? I do not doubt it. Tusk is especially friendly with German politicians, and I believe he will act mainly in their interests. He will teach the Poles not to raise their heads too high, because it is not appropriate, because it is an old thing
replied the PiS MP.
