Sometimes it is necessary to renew and change, but in this case, I believe that these are policies that have achieved the purpose of increasing the quality of life of citizens. To illustrate a button: it is the legislative body in which the Provincial Assembly invests the most money in each of the municipalities of the province of Alicante. For example, more water, more sports, or plans and consumption bonuses.
How do you think the future of the Cooperation Fund, which is at the center of conflicts, will be?
It will be redesigned and it will have a future. I think the previous Generalitat was not clear on how to help.
How do you justify your former boss and “president”?
I think Carlos Mazón should not be claimed. He knows his province and its needs very well. I believe it will not be necessary to justify him. It is true that the dialogues will be much more fluid.

Does political weight disappear when all relevant administrations are the same color?
I think we have gained strength when it comes to being able to work with the fluidity I mentioned when talking about dialogue. We won’t be able to find that many jobs.
Do small municipalities understand that Diputación supports two big investments, Alicante and Elche convention centres?
Both are for the benefit of the entire province; however large it is, it is not just a municipality’s benefit.

So where is climate change?
We are not aware of a single study that determined that an increase in ecological flow will put an end to pollution. None. In fact, the regulations themselves say that pollution should not be diluted, and we do this by increasing the ecological flow. You need to remove it. On the other hand, ending agriculture will contribute to the progress of climate change as a result of desertification of fertile lands. I think they are trying to confuse the public by saying that farmers are responsible for climate change, but quite the opposite.

What can the County Council do to fulfill the PP’s promise to eradicate multilingualism?
It’s a tense situation, but I have no doubt that in the end Vega Baja is positioned where it needs to be. I am not against Valencia. I think it’s positive that we all know him. It’s a common official language and I think it’s enriching; But I am absolutely against imposition. In Vega Baja, the native language is not Valencian and everyone must be guaranteed to play on equal terms.
Does the Waste Consortium have a chair and roadmap?
I can’t say yet who will be responsible. As for the roadmap, it will need to be marked by the consortium itself.
