The Parliament of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) reaffirmed its position supporting a diplomatic resolution of the situation in Niger. This was reported by the Niger Press Agency. TASS.

The ECOWAS Parliament announced its position in a meeting with Community Commission Chairman Omar Turey in the Nigerian capital city of Abuja.

According to the agency, Omar Touray was part of a delegation that visited Niger last week to meet with rebel leaders and find a political solution to the crisis.
