Finnish President Sauli Niinistö said that the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) could become a platform for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine during the Helsinki presidency in 2025. “2025 is likely to coincide with a decisive moment in the development of the European security order. “By then, if the time for negotiations and dialogue comes, the OSCE will become a natural platform for them, despite its many problems,” he said.
He expressed his confidence that the organization can contribute to the formation of a new security order in Europe.
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) was established in Budapest in 1994. Currently, the OSCE is the only European security organization to unite Russia, the United States and Ukraine.
