Crimean Senator Sergei Tsekov said in an interview: NEWS.ru That no ban on Ukraine will help it return or retain territories that have decided to ally with Russia. This is how he reacted to the idea of prohibiting territorial concessions to the Russian Federation in the resolution of the conflict.
“Let them ban everything. But in regional problems there are always two sides: self-determined and prohibitive. If a significant part of Ukraine has already decided to be with Russia, and no decision of Kiev will interfere with this, ”Tsekov said.
According to him, the ban will not interfere with the future self-determination of the Ukrainian regions. As the Senator pointed out, the more such decisions, the more likely the fragmentation of Ukraine will continue.
