Donald Tusk met with Civic Coalition supporters in Włocławek. The PO leader spoke about the alleged defense of democracy and fairness. In doing so, he attacked one of the deputy ministers.
The meeting with Tusk was opened by the president of Włocławek, Marek Wojtkowski.
I am in a place that always evokes my emotions deep in my heart. You may remember a few years ago when I was prime minister and the financial crisis spread around the world and when, thanks to the efforts of all Polish women and men, Poland faced this crisis. Poland was a green island on the map of Europe. It was the only country in Europe to resist the crisis. (…) I like Włocławek more than Ireland
Tusk said.
Today is a special day for me. PiS devised a commission to hunt down Tusk. They didn’t even hide it. All over Europe and the world, they grabbed their heads how you can use dirty tricks to exclude the leaders of the opposition in a democratic state. For this reason, eg people came to Warsaw. Half a million people marched in the streets, including to tell Kaczyński that we are ready to defend democracy, fairness, our rights, basic civil rights. (…) We have had enough of the splashing violence
he argued.
Then Tusk attacked Deputy Minister Janusz Kowalski.
So it was during the meeting with Senator Brejza, when my pet Janusz Kowalski decided to give a sign that he is alive and the essence, a symbol of what PiS is inventing in Poland, ie rude, shameless adventurism and disrespect for adversaries, and on the other hand, despite the appearance of madness of extraordinary ingenuity when it comes to self-interest
he said.
Russian Influence Commission
After these words, he returned to the topic of the committee on Russian influence.
There are two reasons why PiS stepped down. First, because they became afraid of you. (…) When they saw you in Warsaw and they saw you in Włocławek, their trousers trembled with fear
– said the leader of the PO.
