On Wednesday, Taiwan’s deputy chief of staff, Lai Qingde, arrived in San Francisco at a transit stop en route from Paraguay to Taipei. writes about it TASS.

“I am happy to be back in San Francisco and look forward to seeing many of our friends,” Lai Qingde wrote on her X (formerly Twitter) page. She also thanked Laura Rosenberger, President of the American Institute (AIT) in Taiwan, and Xiao Meiqin, Head of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States, for welcoming them at the airport she said.

Earlier, Laura Rosenberger also expressed her pleasure in meeting with Lai Qingde in San Francisco on page X.

Lai Qingde is expected to be in San Francisco from August 16-17 and return to Taiwan on August 18. He made a transfer stop in New York during his trip from Taipei to Paraguay from August 12-13. Lai Qingde’s trip is about his participation in the inauguration ceremony of Paraguayan President Santiago Peña, which took place on August 15.
