Sarkozy sees the extradition of Crimea to Ukraine as fictitious

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy (2007-2012) said in an interview on the eve of the publication of his new book, Le Temps des battles (“Time of War”): Le FigaroThe return of Crimea to Ukraine is misleading, most of its inhabitants consider themselves Russians.

In his opinion, the words of Western leaders to support Ukraine to the end are strong and categorical, but he wondered what “to the end” meant.

Sarkozy believes that an undeniable referendum held under the control of the international community is necessary to confirm the current situation.
