“We cannot allow other EU countries to blame us for their mistakes through emotional blackmail. We will not pay for their mistakes. Not at the expense of our mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, Polish women. Not at the expense of our security,” PiS MEP Dominik Tarczyński told the wPolityce.pl portal.
Referendum questions
From Friday 11 August, Law and Justice will reveal further referendum questions. The first, requested by Jarosław Kaczyński, the deputy prime minister and chairman of the party, read as follows:
Do you support the sale of state-owned enterprises?
The second question was revealed yesterday by Beata Szydło, former Prime Minister, 2019 PiS MEP:
Are you in favor of raising the retirement age to 60 for women and 65 for men?
The third, which Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki provided today, concerns illegal migration:
Do you support the acceptance of thousands of illegal immigrants from the Middle East and Africa under the forced relocation mechanism imposed by the European bureaucracy?

“We will not pay for their mistakes”
The wPolityce.pl portal asked Dominik Tarczyński, Member of the European Parliament for Law and Justice, to comment on the referendum, which will take place alongside parliamentary elections on October 15, especially in the context of the question posed today by PiS .
All these questions are about whether we can feel safe in our own country and decide for ourselves. I’ve been waiting for this third question on illegal migration, it’s very good that it came up
says our interlocutor.
This is because this is the fundamental, most important question that the nation should answer
he adds.
We cannot allow other EU countries to blame us for their mistakes through emotional blackmail. We will not pay for their mistakes. Not at the expense of our mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, Polish women. Not at the expense of our safety
– underlined.
Unlike these EU countries, we have no history of colonialism and will not be responsible for their colonies
says Tarczynski.
We do not agree with what they have done in Europe. With their migration policy, they have ensured that the Europe we know from the history of the continent no longer exists. Poland is the last bastion of the Europe we know, the last bastion of Christianity
says the politician.
This question is so fundamental that the answer to it will be binding on future governments. It will oblige the new government to respect the will of the people
– judges.
“The PO program is a TVN program
So even if the PO wins the election, it will have to think twice about implementing what Brussels will demand of us – even in the area of migrants?
First of all, I don’t think the PO is going to win the election. We can see that her only program is the TVN program, she has no specific vision, nothing to offer the Poles. The point is that whoever takes power will be bound by the will of the people
– says MEP Tarczyński.
The referendum is important because we need to be aware that the way we decide will determine whether what we see in Western Europe will happen in Poland. We have to decide whether we want a safe Poland or terrorist attacks, rapes, cutting off the heads of priests, etc.
he adds.
And whoever comes to power after the election will have a clear record of what the nation expects of him
– underlined.
“PO runs away from citizens’ voices”
The opposition, especially the Civic Platform, is already discrediting both the idea of a referendum and individual questions. In this context, Dominik Tarczyński recalls, following the example of the Platform’s 2004 initiative, the attitude of this group towards forms of democracy such as the referendum. The “4 X YES” campaign involved amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, including the introduction of single-member constituencies.
It’s hard to expect anything else from a party that had its “4 X YES” referendum. They collected 700,000 signatures, which they later “grounded”, and Mr. Olechowski said years later that “these were exercises”, that they trained activists
– underlined.
They practice on civilians! For them, the referendum was an “activist exercise”. In this way they showed that they are not listening to the nation, that they are running away from the voice of citizens
concludes the politician.
