Nigerien rebels meet with country’s new prime minister

Niger’s rebel leader, General Abdurahman Tchiani, met on Wednesday with the country’s new prime minister, Ali Lamin Zein, who was appointed by the National Council for the Liberation of the Fatherland (NCSR), which became the central authority after the coup. It has been reported TASS.

The NSSR, headed by Tchiani, appointed Zein, a 58-year-old economist and former finance minister, as prime minister on 7 August.
