The parliamentary elections on October 15 are absolutely fundamental elections between two visions of Poland. One of them is the vision of a Poland in solidarity, our vision, and we want to continue this vision, despite the missteps and mistakes for which we must apologize, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stressed. As he added, “he who does nothing makes no mistakes and does not stumble”.
Late in the evening, the head of government summarized the day during a live broadcast on Facebook. Morawiecki also invited for the following daily summaries.
The importance of choices
Mr. President announced the election date for October 15, so the countdown begins. (…) You have to wonder what kind of elections these are. In my opinion, these are absolutely fundamental choices, between two different visions of Poland
stressed the prime minister.
As he said, one of these visions is the vision of “a Poland of solidarity, which not only draws on the legacy of “Solidarity”, but also acts on these great principles of social solidarity.
And this is our vision of Poland. This is how we want to continue – despite the stumbling blocks and mistakes – for which we apologize
Morawiecki said. As he added, “he who does nothing makes no mistakes and does not stumble”.
But we also want to face today’s challenges with an open mind.
For my part, I declare full availability during our campaign. I want to talk to you about Poland, what is bothering you, what are your proposals for the future, what are your dreams, desires, fears, reflections, comments – everything you would like to tell me about Poland. I will be very grateful to you for that
the prime minister addressed the audience. He added that he planned to answer some questions from the audience each time during the broadcast and expressed hope that “these meetings will be regular”.
As he added, he also wants to “talk about Poland’s role in Europe”.
This is extremely crucial, because for the first time in – let me say it out loud – many hundreds of years, we have an extraordinarily high and interesting position in this family of European states. We have never had such an opportunity before
Morawiecki said.
Tusk’s actions under Weber’s dictate
The prime minister was asked if there will be a debate between him and the head of the European People’s Party (EPP) group, Manfred Weber. “Mr. Weber and the Germans are the ones who set the tone for the Civic Platform and Tusk campaign. He operates under the dictate of Berlin,” Morawiecki replied.
As he noted, “the property sales that (Donald) Tusk arranged for us in 2008-2014 served foreign entities far more than Polish citizens.”
Also, the removal of OFE was something absolutely unprecedented
he pointed it out.
The Prime Minister also noted:
I am prepared to debate with Mr Weber and await his reply.
The head of government was also asked how a single mother should live in this country. Morawiecki pointed out that the situation of Polish families has improved in recent years.
In conducting our social policy, it is necessary not only to point out the aspects that make parents’ lives easier, such as: a day care center, flexible working hours, a chance to get a better and decent job by attracting new investors, as well as direct financial support in the form of various allowances such as: 500 plus and soon 800 plus or layette
stressed the prime minister.
The head of government pointed out that the net salary increased “thanks to an unprecedented tax-free amount – PLN 30,000. PLN and a tax reduction from 18 percent. to 12 percent. He added that for someone who earned 4,000 5-6 years ago, PLN , his salary increased by several hundred zlotys.
The Prime Minister also referred to the opinion of one of the Internet users: “On October 15, Poles will make a choice whether they are for Poland and Poland, or whether they are a vassal of the alliance between Germany and Russia that Donald has proposed to us. Tusks civic platform.”
Thank you for this opinion. This is the fundamental difference between the United Right, between Law and Justice and the opposition, especially the Civic Platform. Indeed, this nightmarish policy of the Platform to hang on the German doorknob resulted in monstrous mistakes, especially in gas and energy policy, dependence on Russia for gas imports, dependence on Russians also when it comes to importing oil
said the head of government.
We’ve made huge changes here. And I know that in the heat of battle this sometimes escapes your notice. I know that Mr. Tusk tells all lies without batting an eyelid and can cause confusion in the minds of some Poles, but I encourage everyone to check facts, figures and once again facts, facts are absolutely on our side
added Morawiecki.
