I want to do everything I can to return to the state in which the courts are independent of political authority – said PO chief Donald Tusk in Stargard (West Pomerania Voivodeship). He ruled that “long legislative procedures” were not necessary for this. So what is needed? The Platform leader ended up here with beautiful and sublime words about the rule of law and be clear. According to him, it’s enough … “a few brave people who will ask ladies and gentlemen who illegally take their places and leave the building (sic!). Where is the rule of law here?
“Trzaskowski is getting ready to leave the PO. He will be candidate for prime minister”
– And who says! Tusk’s nervous response to PM’s words: He should be concerned with solving problems, not maliciousness on Twitter
– Tusk announces the separation of the church from the state “after winning the elections”. Loaf Responds: They Will Start Attacking Catholics
Tusk threatens coercive solution against judges?!
During a meeting with the inhabitants of Stargard (West Pomerania Voivodeship), the chairman of the Civic Platform was asked about “the settlement of the current authorities”, for example in the criminal dimension.
If I succeed in winning this election with you, I will not change my profession and become a prosecutor or judge (…). I do believe that the evil that is happening in Poland today is that PiS believes that the courts, prosecution, justice, imprisonment is a function of political power
– replied Tusk.
He added that he wanted to “do everything” to return to the state of affairs where “the courts are not perfect – because there are no perfect courts anywhere – but they are independent of political power, and the prosecution is not dependent of some Ziobro (Zbigniew, Minister of Justice -PAP) or some other such political monster”.
In his opinion, “to restore the state from before their (PiS and Solidarna Polska) coup over the judiciary in Poland and the constitution”, lengthy legislative processes will not be necessary.
Decisions they have taken, which concern courts, the State Tribunal or the Constitutional Court, are illegal from the point of view of Polish, constitutional and European law. They are not here. This state of affairs that they have spawned will last as long as they are in power. We will win the elections and put things back in order
– assured Tusk.
At this point words were spoken to which you should pay special attention. Well, the Civic Platform leader said…
You don’t need one or a hundred laws. It will take courageous people to kick out the ladies and gentlemen who are illegally in their places and out of the building just like that.
Is it a harbinger of violent solutions against judges?!
†The whole register of affairs”
Referring to the question of the criminal liability of the current rulers, Tusk said it seems as if “there is a whole register of cases that requires fair, independent investigation and then a trial”.
But I don’t know what would happen if the guys – who bought twice the same ventilator that didn’t work, paid public money after acquaintances, ran the guy abroad and went to hell tens of millions of zlotys, and they did it then they had the task of saving people’s lives … I don’t know what else needs to be done to answer for some time in solitude after a quick and fair trial. Seems pretty clear to me
– Tusk continued to attack, adding that he would “want the decision to be taken by an independent prosecutor and an independent court”.
Tusk talks bolder and bolder about not wanting to play with laws and processes to “hold PiS accountable”. The Civic Platform (PO) leader simply dreams of coercive solutions against judges, which will be made by “brave people”. And who is stirring up the hatred here?!
