Bigastro Mayor Teresa Belmonte has been appointed to be regional senator by the popular parliamentary group in the Valencian Parliament.. He will be with Fernando Carbonell, former vice president and independent of Generalitat Gerardo Camps, in the latter case the result of an agreement with Vox.
PP made public this Monday the names of the three regional senators it is responsible for appointing to the Valencian Parliament. Among them is Teresa Belmonte, mayor of Bigastro, who was a provincial deputy of Alicante during the last period when Carlos Mazón headed the institution.
Another of the senators will be Gerardo Camps Devesa, who, in addition to holding the same responsibility in the past, is the Generalitat Valenciana’s Vice-President and Minister of Finance, regional and national deputy and Secretary of State for Social Security. He also held various organic positions in PPCV.
Third place will be Fernando Carbonell TatayThe independent has agreed with Vox to place a representative of civil society of recognized prestige in the Upper House, the PP states. He is clinical chief of the General Surgery Service at La Fe Hospital and head of the Surgical Unit of Quirón Salud Hospital Valencia. He is also a member of the Royal Academy of Family Medicine.
The deadline for submitting proposals ends this Tuesday, with three district senators corresponding to the PP, two to PSPV and one to Compromís. Vox didn’t have any names, but eventually ultra formation and PP agreed on a name.
