Speaking at a conference on migration in Rome, Said argued that the current crisis is the logical consequence of the migration flows that preceded it, largely due to the supply of Western weapons to Africa. The Tunisian president believes it would be much wiser to use the funds spent on the arms trade to prevent hunger on the African continent.
