US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said US authorities had no knowledge of the reasons for Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang’s disappearance from the public sphere. It has been reported DEA News.

Sullivan noted that Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken should have met with Qin Gang at the ASEAN forum in Indonesia, but China was represented there by Wang Yi, another representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
On July 4, it was reported that Chinese authorities postponed the Beijing visit of Josep Borrell, the head of European diplomacy. Borrell was due to visit Beijing, where he was scheduled to meet with Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang and other dignitaries.
