After an attempted lynching of pedophile suspects at a swimming pool in Bytom, Confederation MP Krzysztof Bosak stated that the PiS government had banned the nationality of foreigners detained by police. What does the truth look like?
Nationality of the arrested men
Footage of a lynching attempt on a group of foreigners suspected of pedophilia against three children aged 11-13 caused a stir on social media. The city of Bytom stated on its Facebook profile that all detainees were citizens of Georgia. We have also posted this statement on our website. The nationality of the arrested men was also revealed on several other news websites: e.g. TVN24, TVP Info or Silesia24.pl.
What about Krzysztof Bosak, MP of the Confederation?
The PiS government has banned the disclosure of the perpetrators’ nationalities
– he announced on Twitter, posting a link to information on the RMF24 website, where the nationality of the arrested men was not actually stated.
A little later, the politician emphasized:
The local website says it’s about Georgians
“Next time – better look”
Deputy Foreign Minister Paweł Jabłoński responded to Bosak’s first entry.
FAKE Dear friend @krzysztofbosak I understand that you are fighting for votes for the Confederation, but a lie has short legs… No one forbids to inform about the nationality of the detainees, the information is available in all media that write about the case Next time – check better
– He wrote.
