Law and Justice started the “Drużyna Afer Tusk” campaign in front of the PO’s headquarters on Wiejska Street in Warsaw, where he presented the profiles of several of his ministers and deputy ministers who are facing preparatory proceedings, indictments by prosecutors, court cases or judicial convictions. to have.
Tusk affair team
The profiles of Sławomir Nowak, Tomasz Arabski, Stanisław Gawłowski, Włodzimierz Karpiński and Sławomir Neumann, among others, were presented at this exhibition.
This exhibition will “wander” through all 16 voivodeships, as it aims to remind Poles which people Donald Tusk relied on during his 7-year rule, especially since a large proportion of them, despite serious accusations against them, are still in the back of the supposedly new team of the PO chairman.
Let us remind you that some time ago Piotr Nisztor, a journalist from Gazeta Polska, presented a list showing that as many as 13 ministers and deputy ministers of the PO and PSL governments are facing serious charges of persecution.
According to the editor Nisztor, one of them has already been legally convicted, 3 others have already been convicted in the first instance, the cases of 5 others have been referred to court by the prosecutor’s office and 4 others are being investigated by prosecutors. .
The accusations against these ministers and state secretaries range from false statements, abuse of power, corruption, participation in a criminal organization and money laundering.
So these are also charges of committing serious crimes, threatened with lengthy prison terms, and to put it mildly, the slowness of our justice system means that in most of these cases no convictions have yet been handed down.
Włodzimierz Karpiński, finance minister in Tusk’s government, who already had serious problems with the law, has now been detained for another month in connection with the so-called garbage scandal in Warsaw.
After the PO lost power, Karpiński was appointed by President Trzaskowski, first as president of the Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Czyszczania company, and later as Secretary of the City of Warsaw, but it was now found that he was suspected of accepting financial benefits.
His associate, Deputy Finance Minister Rafał Baniak, is also under arrest, who is also suspected of participating in the aforementioned waste scandal and transferring financial benefits to his former superior.
And yet there are important PO politicians that the prosecutor’s office cannot indict because their party members do not allow their immunity to be lifted, the most glaring example of such a blockade is Senate President Tomasz Grodzki, who has been prevented from waiving immunity by the majority of the Senate for nearly three years.
Political allegations
However, serious accusations of a political nature must also be made against the politicians of the PO, including Donald Tusk himself, which include political assent to the “privatization” of taxes, especially VAT.
She spoke about it directly at the meetings of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry of Prof. Elżbieta Chojna-Duch (Deputy Finance Minister for some time during the PO-PSL government) that the amendment of the VAT law was made by order of tax advisers who represent large companies and has been accepted by the parliamentary commission “Friendly State”, led by then Member of Parliament Janusz Palikot and Sławomir Nowak, head of Tusk’s political cabinet.
It was this political endorsement that so-called the VAT Gap at the height of Donald Tusk’s administration stood at 27 percent. potential revenue from this tax, and during the PiS administration it was reduced to 4.3 percent. (data for 2021).
This is also confirmed by the current budget VAT revenue, which will exceed PLN 286 billion in 2023 (despite maintaining the zero VAT rate for food), ie will be about the same amount, and all budget revenue in 2015, the last year of the PO-PSL government (amounted to PLN 289 billion).
These kinds of actions, such as this “Team of Tusk Affairs”, are necessary because the current chairman of the PO often says in meetings with voters that one of the ministers during his administration “one sentence too many” or “did something wrong and took it money on” immediately flew out of the government that Tusk was laughed at because he was “mad” about honesty.
After the number of trials conducted by his former ministers, as well as the impeachment of other key PO politicians who are protected by immunity, it is clear that this is another lie from Tusk.
So Poles need to be reminded how it really was and is with the “honesty” of PO politicians.
