A clever attempt to divert attention from the opposition’s hateful politics? Prof. Marcin Matczak decided in “Gazeta Wyborcza” to make rather grotesque accusations, and finally specific threats. “Beata Szydło, who refuses to publish judgments of the legal Constitutional Tribunal, Kaczyński, who avoids the execution of the court’s verdict and orders him to apologize to Sikorski, Kaleta, who refuses to Igor Tuleya to execute the verdict of the ECtHR incites violence. (…) And for this call to violence they will one day pay,” we read. I think someone got carried away here.
Matczak spoke about Tuleya
Prof. Marcin Matczak, one of the opposition legal authorities, decided to speak out against judge Igor Tuleya, but in his own way.
PiS already has a way of accusing everyone around them of what they are doing – this is their symmetry of sin. (…) No matter what they do wrong, PO or PSL did worse, no matter how they politicize the judiciary, someone is politicizing more (Germany or Spain), even if their law kills pregnant women, they will say that there were more deaths under Tusk. They just steal better and lie better – no one can compete with this
— we already read these accusations in the first paragraphs.
Matczak also tried to hit PiS by describing the rulers as “legally sanctimonious”. What did he mean by that?
they break the constitution and international law at will, but if someone accuses them of breaking it, then not at all! They are really attentive!
he said.
All this wobbling was going in one direction. It was about the case of Igor Tuleya and the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, which found that Poland had violated several articles of the European Convention on Human Rights against the judge. The lawyer targeted Deputy Attorney General Sebastian Kaleta.
The European Court of Human Rights tells them that in the case of Igor Tuleya they violated human rights like matches, and here Kaleta jumps up and explains excitedly that they clearly want to respect human rights in Poland and the ECHR judgments want to do, but unfortunately they can’t
we are reading.

“Merchants of the Conflict,” or the Wisdom of the Patron
It must be admitted that in a rather surprising way, Matczak decided to play the role of a philosopher and legal ethicist.
The politicians of the worst kind are people who are traveling salesmen of the conflict. In the description of their duties, they stated it directly: sell a fight, offer hate, promote pissing and organize a sale for contempt – and even three contempts in one, to make it cheaper. They hope that as long as they put people in an impossible situation, someone will not stand it and respond with hate for hate
– he wrote in “GW”.
There is a scientific name for this: authoritarian legalism. PiS applies the law as gently as a baby’s bottom to its friends. (…) But they are as strict with their enemies as Katarzyna Nosowska with Caroline Derpieński – no mercy, not an inch of indulgence, because law always means law, and justice is justice! They respect only those judgments that bring them victory, and despise others, saying they should not carry them out
– added.
Although it is impossible to escape the impression that the above description would rather characterize … the opposition (the memorable Neumann doctrine bends).
Who is actually calling for violence?
Matczak didn’t stop there, as he further threatened that PiS should act like a mafia “because their goal is conflict”.
Beata Szydło, who refuses to publish the judgments of the legal Constitutional Tribunal, Kaczyński, who avoids the execution of the court’s verdict and orders him to apologize to Sikorski, Kaleta, who refuses to Igor Tuleya to execute the judgment of the ECtHR incites violence. Because anyone who brutally shows society that nonviolent conflict resolution doesn’t work is calling for violence. Such power is a power similar to the mafia – the law means nothing to them, only power counts, which, although dressed in legal clothes, is still just violence. And one day they will pay for this call to violence
– concluded the professor of law (sic!) in his column.
It was a clever attempt to turn the tide, when the opposition from the very beginning (after all, it described itself as total) questioned every move of the PiS government, accused all laws of alleged unconstitutionality, undermined the status of judges appointed by the president, and finally the outpouring and still outpouring of hatred and contempt, dividing and quarreling among Poles.
