Sultan Khamzaev, member of the State Duma Security Committee, says that the Ukrainian side is trying to surprise the broad masses in Russia in any way: transmits RIA News. This is how he reacted to the information on the prevention of the assassination plot prepared by the Ukrainian special services against journalist Ksenya Sobchak and the editor-in-chief of RT Margarita Simonyan.
“Their task was and will remain to cause confusion in our country, to try to frighten and surprise the broad masses in any way possible. That’s why public figures were chosen as the target audience,” explained Khamzaev.
On July 15, the FSB prevented the killing of Margarita Simonyan and journalist Ksenia Sobchak, who were preparing on the orders of the SBU. Special services noted that on July 14, people who traced the objects of the neo-Nazi group Paragraph-88 at work and residence addresses in Moscow and the Ryazan region were detained. Simonyan later posted this information on his Telegram channel, “We are working, brothers!” interpreted in his words.
