We are actually on the verge of completing this important phase of the anti-missile shield deployment, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said Saturday at the US Naval Support Unit in Redzikowo.
An investment in safety
During his speech, the head of government stressed that the defense of Polish airspace is just as necessary as the defense of the Polish land.
We are well aware of this, which is why we are carrying out an unprecedented investment program, both in defense of Polish airspace and in defense of Polish soil.
he said.
He added that the complete modernization of the Polish army, its integration into the NATO defense system is unprecedented.
It makes Poland safer today than ever before
he pointed it out.
Shield in Redzikowo this year?
Here today in Redzikowo we had the opportunity to listen to information about the anti-missile shield. This shield that our predecessors gave up in 2008 due to the reset policy with Russia. Now Poland will not let go of this next opportunity. The PiS government is in effective talks and negotiations, and today we are actually on the verge of finalizing this major phase of anti-missile shield deployment.
said the prime minister.
I am very proud to say that both the Polish specialists working here and the Americans (…) are one of the best, if not the best operators of anti-missile weapons and anti-missile shield in the entire NATO system. It is very positive information that we have such specialists, that we are part of (…), creme de la creme, an advanced missile defense system, air defense
Morawiecki pointed that out the shield will be operational by the end of the year.
He added that this is also the implementation of the will of President Lech Kaczyński, who – as Morawiecki said – is betting on missile defense.
