I will attend the National Security Council on Thursday; I want to get information from President Andrzej Duda on what strategy those in power went to the NATO summit in Vilnius and what points of this strategy were implemented, Mirosław Suchoń (Poland 2050) told PAP.
Thursday at The meeting of the National Security Council will take place at 2.30 pm, President Andrzej Duda announced in Vilnius on Wednesday. He added that he would provide more information about the NATO summit at this meeting.
Poland 2050 is represented by Member of Parliament Mirosław Suchoń at the National Security Council.
What will Suchoń ask?
The politician told PAP that at the Council meeting he would like to get information from President Andrzej Duda about the strategy adopted for the NATO summit in Vilnius.
What did we take to our allies, what were our proposals, what ideas did we present and what points from the strategies of the government and the president were implemented and reflected in the decisions of this summit
he explained.
I will certainly also ask about the potential that will be allocated to the implementation of the plans and whether we already know which units of the armed forces will be deployed for the implementation of tasks under the plans discussed at the summit, or that they will be created in the near future
– added.
The Polish MP for 2050 pointed out that it is also an important issue which troops will be stationed in Poland.
The politician expressed the hope that the Council participants will hear from the president whether the Allied air defense of Poland will be strengthened until its own multi-layered air defense is built.
In other words, will missile and air defense systems or the air forces of the Allied countries be stationed in our country, and to what extent?
he explained.
The Polish 2050 MP also ruled that our country’s security and defense policy is currently conducted in a “selfish” manner, which in his opinion is against the state’s interest.
The PiS government and the president consider it irresponsible for policy regarding the security of the state and citizens to be pursued in consensus with all political forces. They know very well that it would be more effective
– he said.
According to the deputy, sending a clear signal to our allies that the government’s proposals have the support of the entire political class would strengthen the Polish voice among the Alliance countries.
Unfortunately, today we see that Poland stands alone and is not among the countries that make important decisions
– he said.
