On 12 July, on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Vilnius, the G7 (G7) countries will agree on common principles of international security guarantees for Ukraine. This is stated in a statement issued by the British Prime Minister’s Office. TASS.
More weapons will be supplied to Kiev, a joint statement will be adopted, the exchange of intelligence data will be strengthened, and the personnel training program will be expanded.
As emphasized in the statement, this is the first time that so many countries have agreed on such comprehensive and long-term measures to ensure the security of another state. More military equipment will be provided to Kiev, intelligence sharing will increase and accelerate, support from cyber and hybrid threats will increase, training programs and military exercises will expand, following the joint declaration signed by representatives of the United Kingdom, Italy, Canada, the United States, Germany, France and Japan. In addition, assistance will be provided in the development of Ukraine’s industrial base.
The statement notes that the purpose of such coordinated assistance is to build a Ukraine capable of defending territorial sovereignty, now and in the future.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said military aid to Kiev and support for Ukraine’s bid to join NATO would “restore peace to Europe”.
