The form of the question in the referendum will concern the acceptance of government policies aimed at countering the forced displacement of illegal migrants, Deputy Prime Minister and PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński told PAP. He added that the PiS voter lists are not ready yet, “it’s still quite a long process.”
In an interview with the Polish Press Agency, Jarosław Kaczyński was asked if the Law and Justice electoral lists were ready.
They are not ready yet, it is still quite a long process. Participation in the election campaign and the course of action in it, as well as assessments that will concern the entire past four years, will be the conditions for the order on the lists, or even presence on them. It is therefore far too early to draw up these lists now
he explained.
When asked whether politicians from Sovereign Poland will be included in these lists, the PiS president said: “Everything indicates that they will be found.”
Just as there were representatives of all the groups in Bogatynia – smaller and larger, who are together in this great entity, which is the United Right, so all the representatives of these groups will be on the lists. I just can’t say for sure where they will be at this point, although I’ve talked to them about it a bit
he explained.
The PiS president noted that Sovereign Poland’s politicians “will not do any harm, taking into account what they have had so far”. However, he stipulated that “they must realize that there are others, including the main party who bear the greatest burden.”
We have no intention of hurting them. It was different in our collaboration, but in politics you have to have good will
– added.
Jarosław Kaczyński was also asked whether the planned referendum question on migration was already known and whether this issue would be discussed at the next session of the Sejm.
We are still discussing whether to hang it next week, because then the next Sejm, or not. But the form of the question will be about accepting the government’s policies to counter forced relocation
he explained.
He also noted that “a referendum is an institution that can be used many times and not necessarily together in elections.” He explained that “this just coincides (with the election – PAP) and for the sake of austerity it has to be done this way”.
Perhaps the time will come for questions that are also directly related to other problems, for example the problem of sovereignty, but this may not be the best time, because it needs to be thoroughly communicated to the public first, and there are many different problems in the election campaign right now. This is too important a question to combine with other questions, as well as with the noise and sometimes chaos of the election campaign
he explained.
NATO summit in Vilnius
Jarosław Kaczyński was also asked what he expected from the NATO summit in Vilnius and what he thought of the support package for Ukraine announced by the NATO chief, which included a long-term armament plaza for Ukraine and a guarantee to add more in the future. to join NATO.
If there is such a guarantee, it will be very good. This would mean that there has been a major shift in the attitude of various countries in recent years
– emphasized the president of PiS.
I believe that when it comes to aid packages, they will actually be adopted. Although there are also some signs that something that was intended for Ukraine will be sold elsewhere, although I will not specify, at least far from this front
he noticed.
If details of Ukraine’s membership in NATO are revealed at the summit, it will be a very positive surprise
– said the president of PiS.
