We are not against 500 plus, but raising to 800 + today is a deviation, electoral sausage, humiliating people – Poland 2050 leader Szymon Hołownia said in Tczew on Friday. According to him, the government should allocate money for education and nurseries.
The leader of Poland 2050, Szymon Hołownia, spoke to the citizens of Tczew (Pomeranian Voivodeship) at a Friday meeting about the ongoing session of the Sejm, in which the deputies are discussing the draft amendment of the law on state aid in raising children, which will allow the benefit of 500 plus is increased to PLN 800 for children. The draft provides for the payment of the first higher childcare allowance as of February 29, 2024, with compensation from January 1, 2024.
We have consistently, clearly and emphatically said that we will vote against
observed Hołownia.
He added that Poland 2050 is not against 500 plus, which – in his opinion – has not fulfilled its task of increasing the number of births in Poland.
It failed
he assessed.
He added that 500 plus “started to play a role of dignity”.
People felt they could get out of this extra money, I don’t want to say out of poverty, but out of feeling inferior. You can buy better children’s shoes, go on vacation to the Polish coast. It was possible to take a little breather in this reality and this goal of 500 plus was achieved
– noted the leader of Poland 2050.
In his opinion, increasing this benefit to 800 plus is “an anomaly, electoral sausage, humiliating people” – he said. As he noted, it is about “tens of billions of zlotys”. Hołownia asked where the government would get this money from.
This money will have to be borrowed or printed
the politician judged.
As he noted, if “they are borrowed, you must pay with interest, just like any debt. Those to whom the additional PLN 300 is paid today will be paid – ie children and grandchildren, they will pay this debt,” said the politician.
The leader of Poland 2050 stated that “this money, if it is in the budget, and we doubt it, should be spent on education and nurseries.” According to him, these funds “should not be given away but invested”.
The mechanism of forced relocation is unwise in this form and we oppose it, Poland 2050 leader Szymon Hołownia said on Friday. He emphasized that people are not things and cannot be moved from country to country like furniture.
On Friday, Hołownia met with the inhabitants of Tczew (Pomeranian Voivodeship). One of them asked a politician about his opinion on the migration of migrants, saying that he “didn’t want to let the plague into the house”. Poland’s 2050 leader reminded him to “call no one a scourge in front of him”.
He stressed that the forced move mechanism “as it is” is already stupid. He added that Poland 2050 is against this mechanism. He pointed to two reasons.
The first is that people are not things and cannot be moved from one country to another like a piece of furniture. It’s inhumane for these people
he said.
As a second reason, he pointed to the fact that Poland has received millions of refugees from Ukraine in recent months.
And where is the problem?
asked Holownia.
According to him, the Polish government “has not been able to win any money from Brussels, which is waiting there”.
According to Hołownia, “the fate of refugees and migrants is played out as another part of the pre-election struggle”. He noted that fewer and fewer children are being born in Poland and that there is a shortage of hands to work.
In Poland, 21,000 babies were born in April. This is the least since World War II.
The politician stated that we “need a million migrants for work”.
Next year we need 3,000. doctors, so we spend 3 thousand. visas for doctors and their families and immediately plan with local governments where to give money to settle them. Next year we need 5,000. installers, so let’s issue 5000 visa installers
– added.
Let’s take the ones we need to pay dues and taxes. We didn’t want kids, someone has to work the land to keep it from collapsing
he said.
He called on people to “open up to migration” and draw conclusions from the mistakes of the Germans, Dutch and French.
In late June, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said at a conference after the EU summit in Brussels that Poland is ready to prepare a lawsuit before the CJEU in case of an attempt to violate the 2018 European Council conclusions on relocation. He pointed out that Poland considers that the only applicable regulation is this decision of the 2018 European Council.
The conclusions of the June 2018 EU summit make it clear that migrants entering the EU should be referred “on a voluntary basis” to centers set up in Member States, where a distinction is made between irregular migrants who should leave the EU and those those in need of international protection. These conclusions also state that “in the context of these centers relocation and resettlement will be voluntary”.
EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson, who visited the Italian island of Lampedusa, where hundreds of migrants from North Africa arrive, said at a press conference that “if a country does not commit to relocating +migrants+, it must pay, not only to countries under pressure, but also to third countries.
These words were said a few days after an interview with TVN24, in which Johansson said that the so-called migration pact, ie the EU agreement on the relocation of migrants, is not mandatory.
In mid-June, the Sejm passed a resolution expressing opposition to the EU’s mechanism for the relocation of illegal migrants, which commits the government to vigorously oppose the proposal. PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński declared in the Sejm that the issue of relocation of migrants in the European Union should be the subject of a referendum.
At the Friday meeting in Tczew, the leader of Poland 2050 was also asked about the wall on the Polish-Belarusian border. The politician stated that it should only be placed in certain places.
They spent billions of zlotys on it, destroyed access roads, villages and forests. And since the beginning of the year, 12,000 people have tried to cross the border illegally. people. So what did this wall help?
– He asked.
A physical barrier is needed in some places, but it cannot destroy Poland because the Belarusians, led by Lukashenko, want to destroy it in a bestial way and send migrants to the border here in search of bread
– rated the leader of Poland 2050.
It’s not like you put up a wall and the problem is solved. It must be a sensible activity by the border guards, an invitation from Frontex, a tight border. And the ability to submit applications. There are procedures for all this
said the politician.
He noted that there are other methods of border control besides the wall. He pointed to “electronic means, traffic control or night vision”. He stated that no one has the right to cross our border illegally.”
Our border is sacred and can only be crossed legally, so if there are undocumented migrants wanting to cross our border, they must be subject to the proper procedure
he announced.
He stressed that migrants should present the correct documents and wait for a response in decent conditions.
It cannot be that children will die after swamps in our Białowieża Forest, because this is the land of Solidarity and John Paul II
said Holownia.
Since the beginning of the year, the border guard has registered more than 12,000 attempts to illegally cross the border into Belarus. According to data previously provided by the Border Guard, there were approximately 2.5 thousand in March and April. such attempts, in May about 3 thousand. In June there were also less than 3,000 attempts and since the beginning of July there have been more than 300.
