African heads of state invited to BRICS summit in Johannesburg

Presidents of all African countries are invited to the BRICS summit (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) to be held in Johannesburg in August. Anil Suklal, Ambassador to Asia and BRICS at the South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced this at a briefing.

According to him, the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaposa, decided to invite all the leaders of African countries in cooperation with the BRICS. All have been invited.

He noted that in 2023, South Africa chairs the BRICS, paying particular attention to Africa and the search for new forms of partnership.
