Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree imposing sanctions on 18 companies registered in Russia, Luxembourg, Cyprus and the British Virgin Islands. This was reported on the official website of the President of Ukraine.
“In accordance with Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, I decide to put into effect the resolution of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated July 5, 2023 “On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)”. ” says the text of the decree.
Prior to that, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had imposed sanctions on more than 190 individuals and 291 legal entities from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Georgia for 10 years.
Among other things, restrictions were imposed on Georgian airline Georgian Airways and its chairman, Tamaz Gaiashvili, following the resumption of flights to Russia.
