President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda were honored with Lithuanian state awards. In turn, the Lithuanian presidential couple – Gitanas Nauseda and his wife Diana Nausėdienė – received Polish awards.
Presidential couples honored with orders
The Polish presidential couple began their visit to Lithuania, where the NATO summit in Vilnius will take place in a few days. Among other things, the president and the first lady will participate in the solemn celebration of the Lithuanian National Day.
The meeting of the presidents began the awarding of orders. President Andrzej Duda was honored today in Vilnius with the Grand Cross of the Order of the Cross of Pursuit, while the leader of Lithuania received Poland’s highest award, the Order of the White Eagle.
First Ladies were also honored. Agata Kornhauser-Duda received the Grand Cross of the Order of Witold the Great, while Diana Nausėdienė received the Grand Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
