In the program “Kropka nad i” (TVN24) an exchange of views took place between Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk and Monika Olejnik. The Minister of European Affairs made the journalist aware of the difference between legal immigrants who come to work in Poland and illegal immigrants that the EU is trying to send to Poland.
Monika Olejnik tried to present a story that it is pointless to organize a referendum on allowing illegal immigrants in Poland, because no one wants to impose them on Poland.
Did you hear someone order us to move?
Oleynik asked.
And you didn’t hear?
replied Szynkowski aka Sęk.
In response, the TVN24 journalist referred to an interview with EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylvy Johansson, in which she said that there would be no forced relocation of immigrants to Poland.
And do you think that filing a lawsuit to move or pay is not, in practice, a forced move?
asked the Minister of European Affairs. He added that any application by Poland to the EC to withdraw from the relocation obligation does not automatically mean that Poland is exempt from this obligation.
Monika Olejnik spoke de facto in the language of Donald Tusk and said how many immigrants were supposed to legally come to work in Poland.
Last year, the state allowed 135,000 people to come to Poland. immigrants
– she said.
We’re going to fix a few things. First, 135,000 did not come. Let’s start with the basics: legal labor migration and illegal migration are two different things.
he said. He noted that of the people who got a work permit in Poland, only about 1/5th get a visa later.
Does an illegal immigrant have protozoa?
asked Oleynik absurdly.
If there is no work or residence permit, it is not subject to verification, we do not know who it is
the minister calmly explained.
How are they different? Do you check for protozoa?
The journalist stuttered into her story.
“Legal migrants are checked”
You’re talking about protozoa, I’m talking about a threat to national security
– he said, adding that legal migrants can be checked before entering Poland, and illegal migrants cannot.
Legal migrants are checked, they want to work in a certain place
he noticed.
Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk referred to Donald Tusk’s change of mind about migrants.
If someone changes his mind like that, it is an expression of a kind of desperation
he said. In response, Monika Olejnik answered whether the prime minister’s comparison of the Wagner group with the so-called Weber’s group.
You don’t have to defend Donald Tusk that much on TVN. When the KO polls start dropping below 20%, you can defend
replied the minister jokingly.
