Speaking at the 23rd meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of State, Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that he invited all the leaders of the SCO member states to the next summit of the organization. to be held in the capital of the republic telegraph channel press service of the head of state. He also added that Kazakhstan considers it necessary for the SCO to have its own vision for a just world in the future. Tokayev emphasized that the organization should confidently follow the path of inclusive development and creative progress.

The SCO summit (Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) started in New Delhi on 4 July. In addition to Tokayev, other heads of state, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are attending the meeting, which took place in video conference format. Following the conclusion of the meeting, the SCO presidency will officially pass from India to Kazakhstan.
