The Palestinian leadership decided to cut off all contact with Israel because of the operation in Jenin. This is stated in the document adopted in the city of Ramallah. TASS.
“At the meeting, it was decided to cease all contacts and talks with the Israeli side and to further reduce the level of coordination in the field of security,” the document said.
It was noted that the document referred to the Palestinian people’s right to self-defense and that the authorities’ duty was to protect their citizens.
Palestinian Ambassador to Moscow, Abdel Hafiz Nofal, said that Palestine intends to hold consultations with Russia due to Israel’s military operation in the city of Jenin. According to Nofal, Palestine always contacts the Russian side and reports the details of the current situation. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that all responsibility in the case of the military operation in Jenin and its consequences rests with Israel.
The diplomatic department also urged the world community to respond to the situation in Jenin and take all measures to stop the escalation immediately.
