SBU sues a journalist from Russia in absentia

The Security Service of Ukraine accused Russian journalist Serhiy Mardan of three articles in his absence. This is stated in the Telegram channel of the episode.

The Russian faces up to eight years in prison. He was accused of making “overt calls for genocide” alongside public calls to change Ukraine’s constitutional order and seize state power, to justify Russia’s actions on that country’s territory, and to broadcast such messages in the media.

The SBU also reported that they conducted a language review that allegedly confirmed the facts regarding “the criminal activities of a journalist”.
