The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation said that the head of the department, Sergey Lavrov, discussed the tasks of preparing and holding the upcoming G20 summit in New Delhi with the ambassadors of friendly countries, members of the Group of Twenties. It has been reported TASS.
The publication notes that on June 28, Lavrov met with ambassadors of the “majority of the world” countries that make up the Group of Twenties: Argentina, Brazil, India, Indonesia, China, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and South Africa.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues on the agenda of the forum during India’s incumbent presidency.
“Special attention was paid to the tasks of preparing and holding the G20 summit in New Delhi on September 9-10 this year,” the statement said.
