Zelensky’s office wanted to hold a “peace summit” in Ukraine

Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian presidential office, said that Kiev wants to host a so-called global “peace summit” in Ukraine. He wrote this on his Telegram channel.

He said consultations were held in Copenhagen with national security and political advisers from Brazil, the UK, Denmark and other countries on the basic principles of peace. Yermak said that this meeting is a continuation of the dialogue initiated between the leaders of Ukraine, the G7 countries and the Global South at the G7 summit in Hiroshima.

The Ukrainian delegation explained to their interlocutors the principles of the “peace formula” proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Yermak expressed the view that it is this formula that should be “the basis for achieving a sustainable and just peace for Ukraine”.

Yermak also proposed Ukraine as a venue for a global peace summit. According to a representative from Zelensky’s office, several countries have already expressed their readiness to host this summit, including the UN General Assembly.

A few days ago, Zelensky presented The Organization of American States will attend the peace summit.
